Pay Your Water Bill
Echols County water customers may pay their water bill using any of the following methods:
- In Person: Payments may be made at the Echols County Board of Commissioners Office, 110 Highway 94 East, Statenville, GA 31648.
- By Mail: Payments may be mailed to the Echols County Board of Commissioners Office.
- Online: Water bills may be paid securely through the County’s online payment portal.

These rates and fees are established by the Echols County Board of Commissioners and may be amended by resolution. The County maintains an official Water Utility Fee Schedule.
New Water Service & Connections
Property owners seeking new water service should contact Echols County to determine whether County water service is available at their property and to obtain information regarding connection requirements, deposits, meters, and installation costs.
County ordinance requires an occupied structure to connect to the County public water system when public water service is available.
Private Wells
Private wells may continue to be used for irrigation and other non-potable purposes, provided they comply with applicable state and local requirements.
Private wells and other water sources may not be physically interconnected with the County public water system. Backflow prevention or inspection may be required to protect the public water supply.
Billing & Service
Water customers are responsible for paying applicable monthly usage charges, fees, and other charges associated with their account.
Water service may be discontinued for nonpayment, illegal connections, meter tampering, unauthorized water use, or violations of County water system regulations. Outstanding charges, penalties, and applicable reconnection fees must be paid before service is restored.
Billing Questions & Disputes
Customers with questions regarding their water bill should contact the County.
A customer disputing water utility charges may submit a written request for review within 30 days of the billing date.
Water System Emergencies & Notices
Boil-water advisories, service interruptions, planned maintenance, emergency notices, and other important Water Department information will be posted on the Echols County website as necessary.
