LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Notice is hereby given that the preparation and testing of voting system components to be used in the 4 Nov 2025 Special Election will begin on Thursday 2 Oct 2025, at 8:00 a.m., or after the scheduled date upon receipt of the database. The testing will occur at the Elections office located at 110 Highway 94 E., in Statenville. Preparation and testing will continue from day to day until complete, and representatives of political parties and bodies, news media, and the public are permitted to observe such tests. EARLY VOTING NOTICE – 4 NOVEMBER 2025 SPECIAL ELECTION

If you wish to vote by mail, you may submit an online application at https://securemyabsenteeballot.sos.ga.gov; or you may submit a request through your MVP page https://mvp.sos.ga.gov; or call to request to have an absentee ballot application mailed to you.

 

The LAST day we can accept an absentee by mail ballot application and mail absentee ballots to voters is Friday, 24 Oct 2025.

 

A drop box has been provided in the Elections office lobby to return mail ballots in person, you can also drop them off at the office or return them in the mail.

 

On the LAST DAY TO VOTE, Tuesday, 4 Nov 2025, you may vote in your assigned precinct from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.  You can find your assigned precinct at: https://mvp.sos.ga.gov, refer to your precinct card, or contact the Elections office.

NOTICE OF SCANNING, COMPUTATION, CANVASSING AND CERTIFICATION OF ELECTION RETURNS

 

EARLY SCANNING: The Echols County Board of Elections will begin scanning Absentee by mail ballots at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, 4 Nov 2025.

 

EARLY COMPUTATION: On Election Day, 4 Nov 2025, the Echols County Elections office will begin tabulating ballots at 5:00 P.M. at 110 Highway 94 E, Statenville. Results will not be available until after 7 P.M.

 

CERTIFICATION: Notice is hereby given that computation, canvassing and certification of the returns of votes cast in the 4 Nov 2025 Special Election will take place in the Echols County Elections office, on Friday, 7 Nov 2025, at 5:00 P.M.

 

All events are open to viewing by the public and will be conducted at the Elections office, 110 Highway 94 E., Statenville.

 

 

NOTICE OF RISK LIMITING AUDIT OF THE 4 NOVEMBER 2025 SPECIAL ELECTION BALLOTS

 

The Echols County Board of Elections will begin the Risk Limiting Audit at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, 24 July 2025, and continuing daily until 4:00 p.m., or later, if necessary to complete the audit by Monday, 28 July 2025 at 5:00 P.M.

 

The Risk Limiting Audit will be conducted at the Echols County Elections office, at 110 Highway 94 E., in Statenville, and is open to viewing by the public.
